On January 23, 2014 Jennifer was honored as the 2014 Big Sister of the Year by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.

Jen and little Abbie also were sent to the 18th Annual Stars & Stripes Tournament in Cabo, Mexico in June 2014 to represent the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of OC. The Stars & Stripes raised $2.7 million this year for the benefit of BBBS and 3 other charities for kids.
The Tustin-based non-profit provides 2,200 children facing adversity with professionally-supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. Young boys and girls, or “littles”, are matched with volunteers, “bigs”, to develop positive relationships that have a lasting effect on their lives. Up to 75% of “littles” come from a single-parent household, 55% have been exposed to physical, emotional or sexual abuse, and 75% of little’s families earn less than $30,000 a year. In 2012, 100% of “littles” graduated high school on time, and 87% went on to college.
