On Thursday, August 17, 2023, the Apriem team spent the afternoon volunteering at the Jessie Rees Foundation’s JoyFactory in Irvine. Apriem staff participated in stuffing JoyJars® and writing encouraging notes to brave kids who are fighting cancer.
While volunteering, the LA Times was at the JoyFactory to profile Jessie Rees Foundation’s beginnings, mission, and global impact on kids who are fighting cancer and their families. Our President, Rhonda Ducote, was interviewed as well.

It’s incredible to see it go to all of these different countries, everybody coming together for not just [Jessie’s] memory but the care. All of the athletes and stars, it’s remarkable to see. Starting [the Jessie Rees Foundation] from his house, to a small office, to the last location to this, I’m always in awe of Erik and Stacey and what they’ve done.
