Benjamin Lau, our CIO, discusses the potential for a mid-June rate hike from the Federal Reserve and how the economy is improving with Reuters’ Aleksandra Michalska. Below is an excerpt:
“Right now we are pretty much near the end of earnings season and there is about a two week lull between now and when the Fed meets on June 13. In those two weeks we have a lot of economic data coming out.
I think if the economy continues to strengthen the Fed will have to raise interest rates in the middle of the month.”
